Eagles Hold Off Cowboys In Exciting, Rain-Delayed Season Opener

An ugly game, yet the Eagles are now 1-0.

Jalen Hurts was the key factor to the defending champs win over the Dallas Cowboys in the NFL’s season opening game on Thursday night.

Hurts gashed the Eagles hated NFC East rival for 65 rushing yards and two rushing TDs.

Yet Dallas still had a chance to win the game, but thanks to a dropped pass by CeeDee Lamb and a horrible defensive call towards the end of the game, which allowed Hurst to scramble for a first down, they couldn’t pull it off.

To make the loss even worse, the Eagles won without star defensive lineman Jalen Carter, who was ejected before a snap was even made after spitting on Dallas QB Dak Prescott.

It was a mysterious start for the Eagles, especially as it was opening night and it was a division rivalry game.

After the game, Carter spoke about his foolish action.

“It was a mistake on my side. It just won’t happen again. I feel bad, just for my teammates and the fans out there.”

Yet despite the inauspicious start, the Eagles managed to pull out a win to start the season 1-0.
