The Philadelphia Eagles made more off-season news as they acquired wide receiver John Metchie and a 6th round pick via a trade.
Metchie was a highly touted second round pick in 2022 coming out of Alabama. Unfortunately, he was diagnosed with leukemia and missed his entire rookie season.
After recovering and overcoming his own battles, Metchie played in a minimal role for the Houston Texans as he caught 40 passes for 415 yards and one touchdown.
Due to the Eagles always looking to improve, they made the move to acquire Metchie and bolstered a wide receiver roster that already includes stars AJ Brown and DeVonta Smith.
In return, the Eagles sent tight end Harrison Bryant and a 5th round pick to Houston.
Coming off a Super Bowl championship this team will have huge expectations but they are set to have yet another great season as it gets closer to the opener.
