Thunder Knock Off The Nuggets, Advance To Conference Finals

OKC blew out the injury-riddled Nuggets.

The Oklahoma City Thunder blew out the Denver Nuggets 125-93 in game 7 of the NBA Playoffs, advancing to the Conference Finals for the first time since 2016.

Shai Gilgeous Alexander led the charge for the Thunder, going off for 35 points. Jalen Williams also chipped in, scoring 24 points in the rout.

Although the two stars excelled offensively for the Thunder, it was OKC’s defense that spurred the team. The relentless pressure forced the Nuggets into 22 turnovers, while the Thunder only committed 9.

Denver was completely outmatched in this game. They began to fall apart offensively towards the end of the series as two key contributors, Aaron Gordon and Michael Porter Jr., were hurt.

The Thunder will face the Minnesota Timberwolves in the Conference Finals for the chance to advance to the NBA Finals, both teams hoping to bring their respective cities their first NBA Championship.
