Thunder Beat Timberwolves And Lead Series 3-1

OKC could close it out in Game 5.

On Monday night the Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves 128-126 in Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals and now have a commanding 3-1 lead.

The Thunder were led by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (40 points, 10 assists, 9 rebounds) and Jalen Williams (34 points). Thanks to their remarkable performances, OKC is one win away from advancing to the NBA Finals for the first time since 2012.

“I tried not to worry too much about scoring or making plays or whatever it was,” said Shai. “I tried to just lose myself in the competition, be aggressive, pick my spots.”

Minnesota was led by Jaden McDaniels (22 points) while Nickeil Alexander-Walker (22 points) and Donte DiVincenzo (21 points) came off the bench to combine for 43 points.

The Timberwolves were missing big games from their stars Anthony Edwards (16 points) and Julius Randle (5 points) and combined for more turnovers (10) than shots made (6).

After a great win on the road, the Thunder head home where they will look to close out the series in Game 5 on Wednesday.
