OKC Thunder Blow Out Pacers In Game 2 Of The NBA Finals

OKC crushes the Pacers as the series heads to Indy.

The Oklahoma City Thunder delivered an outstanding performance in Game 2 of the NBA Finals, blowing out the Indiana Pacers 123-107.

The Thunder were led by MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander who scored 34 points on 11-21 shooting from the field, along with 8 assists, 4 steals, and 5 rebounds.

After two amazing games, SGA has set a finals debut record for most points scored in their first two games with 72.

Yet despite his performances, he knew nothing was won as of yet.

“You can’t get too comfortable. You’ve got to focus on the little things, recover, you’ve got to focus on the game plan,” said Gilgeous-Alexander after the Game 2 win. “And ultimately, I’m going to sound like a broken record, but get better for the next game and the next opportunity”.

The Thunders’ defense played a major role in the series-tying win as they were in complete control for most of the game.

Tyrese Haliburton led the Pacers in both scoring and shot attempts with 17 points on 7-13 shooting. No one on the Pacers had great rhythm as the Thunder defenders clamped down on Indiana and harassed them all night.

The series now moves to Indiana for the next two games.

And although the Pacers will now be at home, the pressure will be on them to protect their home court and bounce back from a blowout loss.
