Deion Sanders added Warren Sapp to his staff last season as a senior quality assistant for the defense, and now he’s adding another Pro Football Hall of Famer in Marshall Faulk.
The versatile Faulk, who dominated for both the Colts and Rams, winning a Super Bowl with the latter, is headed to Colorado as the new running backs coach for the Buffaloes.
Faulk is 7x Pro-Bowler, 6x All-Pro and won MVP in 2000. He also ranks 12th on the all-time rushing yards list with 12,279.
He’s now the third Hall of Famer, behind Deion and Sapp, to join the Buffs and replaces Gary Harrell, who held the same position for two seasons.
“Deion is an elevator,” said Faulk in an interview with Front Office Sports. “He’s going to elevate you as a person, and he’s going to force you to elevate your life. That’s what he does. He lifts people up. A lot of the times the light may look like it’s shining on him, but really he’s shining the light on somebody.
“We’re good friends. And whatever I can do to help him out I’m going to do.”
