Kyrie Irving, Dallas Mavericks Agree On Massive New Deal

Kyrie, AD and Cooper Flagg sounds good.

Dallas Mavericks star guard, Kyrie Irving is declining his $43 million player option and intends to sign a three-year, $119 million contract with Dallas.

Irving is very deserving of this new deal. Before his injury, he was one of the leading scorers on the team and helped the Mavericks reach the Finals in the 23-24 season.

This previous season Irving averaged 24.7 ppg along with 4.8 rpg, and 4.6 apg. He was efficient from the field as well, shooting 47.3% and 40.1% from the three-point line.

Irving was playing at an elite level this past season before he suffered a season-ending ACL tear.

Prior to his injury many executives and people around the league believed that Irving was due for a very huge payday.

Because he’s still recovering, Irving is set to miss the start of the upcoming season, which means that Dallas will need to make some moves before the start of the season.

Despite missing their best player, Dallas has the No. 1 pick in Wednesday night’s draft, which surely means they will be drafting Duke star freshman, Cooper Flagg.

Flagg has been the consensus best player in the draft and a guaranteed big name in the NBA for years to come.

Locking up Irving for another three years gives Dallas strong lineup with Anthony Davis, Kyrie Irving, and, most likely, Cooper Flagg, who Dallas is hoping will make fans forget about trading away Luka Doncic this past season.
