Alabama Looks Shaky In Surprising Loss To FSU

Does anyone fear the Tide anymore?

Alabama started the 2025 season off on the wrong foot as they were upset by unranked Florida State, 31-17.

After finishing 9-4 last season and losing the season opener this past weekend, many Alabama supporters and alumni are disgusted in the team’s performance.

Although many understood that the era after Nick Saban would not be easy, many if not most did not see these types of upsets and losses coming.

In just one season under Kalen DeBoer, as well as the first game of the 2025 season, the Tide have lost five games in which they were favored to win.

This poses a great threat to the program as in many people’s eyes this team is no longer feared in college football. After the loss to the Seminoles, teams have more confidence in their chances of beating the once dominant Crimson Tide.

“They don’t have Nick Saban to save them. I don’t see them stopping me,” said FSU QB Tommy Castellanos prior to the matchup against Alabama.

Moving forward things don’t get any easier as they face Georgia in a few weeks and other quality programs like Wisconsin and Vanderbilt, which shocked the college football world by upsetting the Tide.
