Veteran QB Aaron Rodgers has agreed to sign a one-year deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
This deal was highly anticipated as many if not most speculated that this would be the landing spot for Rodgers this season.
Rodgers arrives in Pittsburgh after playing for the NY Jets for one full season. Last season, he threw for 3,897 yards with 28 TDs and 11 INTs.
Although Rodgers’ best years are behind him, he still can offer a lot to a team given the right weapons and environment and Pittsburgh is that place as it has a strong core of offensive weapons and an experienced, solid defense.
Rodgers will be the starting QB in a room joined Mason Rudolph, Skylar Thompson and Ohio State rookie Will Howard.
Adding Rodgers will strengthen this room and give the Steelers more hope going into the season as they compete in a touch AFC North division.
