There’s Trouble Brewing In Baltimore

Injuries are devastating the Ravens.

The Baltimore Ravens entered the season as one, if not the best overall team when looking at rosters and personnel.

Yet despite an amazing roster loaded with star studded talent, they find themselves in a very deep hole at 1-3 and in third place in the AFC North.

With many had Super Bowl aspirations in mind for this team, the team’s dreadful start to the season has tempered those dreams, particularly as the Ravens have already lost to AFC power houses in the Chiefs and Bills.

Losing against division rivals is bad, but the rash of injuries the team has suffered is even more disheartening. The most glaring name recently added to the list is star quarterback Lamar Jackson, who suffered a hamstring injury in Sunday’s game against the Chiefs.

Baltimore has also lost star defensive tackle Nnamdi Madubuike for the season due to a neck injury, leader Roquan Smith will miss multiple weeks with a hamstring strain, and cornerback Marlon Humphrey will be out for multiple weeks with a lower leg injury.

And that’s just a few of the names on a growing injury list.

Looking forward, Baltimore will face the Texans, Rams, and Bears. While the Texans are looking to right their ship, the Rams are red hot and the Bears are coming off a last-second win on Sunday.

This means that the injury-depleted Ravens won’t have time to heal, which could make an already ugly start to the season even worse.
