Last week, 5x All-star John Wall officially announced his retirement from the NBA after 11 seasons.

Wall was amazing coming into the league after being selected number one overall by the Washington Wizard in the 2010 NBA Draft. His talents made him an instant attraction, many viewing him as the cornerstone of the franchise.

He had video game-like speed along with great court vision. And not only could he score but he was an above solid defender for his position as well.

Unfortunately, injuries derailed his career, forcing him to miss two seasons.

At the peak of his game, Wall averaged 23.1 ppg along with 10.7 apg. Over his 11 year career, he averaged 18.7 ppg, 8.9 apg and 4.2 apg while playing for the Wizards, Houston Rockets and LA Clippers.

Even though Wall never captured a championship with Washington, the Wizards community still embraces him for the time he spent in DC.

This season, they will get to watch him on TV, only now as an analyst for Amazon Prime’s NBA broadcast team.
