Buffalo Bills, James Cook Agree To Massive Extension

Cook will return Buffalo through 2029.

The Buffalo Bills and star running back James Cook have agreed to a massive 4-year, $48 million dollar extension that runs through 2029.

It also includes $30 million guaranteed, which is the largest guaranteed amount of money for a running back in 5 years.

This deal will keep Cook with the team through the 2029 season.

This extension comes shortly after Cook returned to practice for the Bills. The star running back missed four practices during a hold out that lasted over a week.

Cook is a great player who comes off a solid season with 1,009 rushing yards and 18 total TDs; his 16 rushing TDs led the league.

Having Cook back gives the Bills its biggest weapon outside of superstar QB Josh Allen.

It’s important to lock this young talent into a long-term deal as the regular season is less than a month away.
