Spurs, De’Aaron Fox Agree To Massive Contract Extension

The Spurs keep the rising star guard.

The San Antonio Spurs and De’Aaron Fox have agreed on a new 4-year $229 million max extension. This massive new deal will keep the star guard with the team through the 2029-30 season.

Fox was acquired at the trade deadline in 2025 from the Sacramento Kings. Before suffering a season ending injury, Fox was having a good season, averaging 19.7 ppg along with 6.8 asp, and 4.8 rpg.

Pairing an elite guard like Fox with star center Victor Wembanyama has been a major goal for the Spurs organization. And with players like Stephon Castle and 2025 Draft pick Dylan Harper, the team has a young and talented nucleus to build with.

If they can remain healthy, San Antonio could be in the mix for a playoff spot in the upcoming season.
