Pittsburgh Steelers, Miami Dolphins Shock The NFL With Trade

A stunning trade that helps both teams.

In a stunning trade, the Pittsburgh Steelers acquired both All-Pro cornerback, Jalen Ramsey, tight end Jonnu Smith, and a 2027 seventh round pick in exchange for All-Pro safety Minkah Fitzpatrick and a 2027 fifth round pick.

The trade solidifies an already stout Pittsburgh defense, and give their secondary a desperately needed boost as their pass defense ranked in bottom-10 in passing yards allowed.

Bringing in Ramsey will help tremendously as he has 108 passes defended with 24 career interceptions in nine seasons.

They are also getting someone that will help in the tackling game as he has 504 career tackles.

The Steelers will have to pay the majority of the $26.6 million contract for Ramsey as Miami will only pay $3 million.

Pittsburgh also added another weapon for Aaron Rodgers with the acquisition of Jonnu Smith, who will pair nicely with current tight end Pat Freiermuth.

The Miami Dolphins reunite with Minkah Fitzpatrick, a player they drafted in 2018 with the 11th overall pick.

Getting back a All-Pro level safety is great news for the Dolphins as they have parted ways with every member of the secondary from last season.

Fitzpatrick is still a very talented and valuable player in this league and can help the Miami defense get back on track.

This shocking trade has the NFL buzzing and it will be interesting to see how both teams are impacted by the move.
