Frank Ragnow, Detroit Lions Center, Announces Retirement

At only 29, Ragnow calls is a career.

Frank Ragnow, the center for the Detroit Lions, announced on social media that he will be retiring from the NFL.

Ragnow was drafted in the first round by the Lions in 2018. For seven straight seasons, he was an elite center and a cornerstone piece of the team’s offensive line.

During his seven years, Ragnow was a 4x Pro Bowler and 3x 2nd Team All-Pro.

Due to his many accolades in a short time, it was shocking to hear that the star player was walking away from the game at only 29 years old.

“I’ve tried to convince myself that I’m feeling good but I’m not and it’s time to prioritize my health and families future,” he said.

Losing a key player like Frank Ragnow will be big for the Lions as they are a dominant running team and center is the key to a successful running attack.
