Denver Stuns OKC With Last Second Shot To Take Game 1

Aaron Gordon wins it with a last-second shot.

The Denver Nuggets stunned the Oklahoma City Thunder 121-119 in Game One of the second round of the playoffs thanks to a game-winning three-point shot made by Arron Gordon.

Jokic and Gordon combined for 64 points and shot 50% from the field in the big win over the Thunder.

Prior to game one, many saw the Thunder as the clear favorite and did not see this series being longer than a 5 to 6 game series.

But after the win by Denver, the narrative has begun to sway as the Nuggets now have an opportunity to make this series more competitive than expected, possibly becoming another 7-game series for the franchise.

The greatness of Nikola Jokic makes this series winnable for the Nuggets. In the very first game, he recorded 42 points along with 17 rebounds and 6 assists.

It will be interesting to see how both teams respond after the Game 1 shocker, but the momentum has temporarily shifted over to Denver after Monday night’s comeback win.
