Five-star CB Jorden Edmonds has committed to Alabama.
Edmonds, a 6’3, 180 lbs cornerback from Marietta, GA, was heavily recruited by other programs including the Oklahoma Sooners, Tennessee Volunteers, and the Georgia Bulldogs.
Edmonds, according to 247sports, is the number one ranked cornerback nationally and the number four ranked player in Georgia.
Choosing Alabama seems natural as the program has a penchant for producing NFL-ready defensive backs including players like Patrick Surtain II, Marlon Humphrey, Brian Branch, Minkah Fitzpatrick, Terrion Arnold and others.
Surtain II is the most notable as he’s the reigning defensive player of the year, beating out players like TJ Watt, Myles Garrett and Trey Hendrickson.
Now that he’s committed to Alabama, Jorden Edmonds could join the list of great defensive backs from the University of Alabama.
