Steph Curry Invests In Basketball Start-Up “Unrivaled”

Curry adds more star power to the new league.

Earlier this week, women’s basketball start-up “Unrivaled” that the greatest shooter in NBA history, Steph Curry, was an investor in the league.

The women’s 3×3 basketball league raised $35 million from investors like Carmelo Anthony, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Dawn Staley, JuJu Watkins and Coco Gauff.

Now that Curry has gotten involved, it gives the league another big name to work with as it works to build future growth.

“I am incredibly proud to be joining the Unrivaled family as the league continues to set a new standard for how women’s professional sports should operate,” Curry said in a statement. “Unrivaled is not just innovating the way we play basketball, but also how we value and invest in the athletes who drive the game forward.”

The success that the league has experienced so far in its inaugural season should be helped through the backing of stars like Curry, who has put his money where his mouth is when it comes to supporting great causes and businesses.
