JuJu Watkins reminded the basketball world of her greatness as she led her no.6 ranked USC Trojans to a 71-60 upset of crosstown rival and undefeated, number one ranked team, UCLA.
Watkins had arguably one of the best games of her collegiate career as she annihilated the Bruins.
Watkins recorded 38 points in this matchup, including six three-pointers in just nine attempts.
In addition, she added 11 rebounds, 5 assists, and 8 blocks, becoming, as per Opta Stat “the only NBA, WNBA or Division I men’s or women’s player this century to have a game with 35+ points, 10+ rebounds, 5+ assists, 5+ blocks and 5+ threes made”
The Bruins had no answers for the superstar sophomore in their exciting, highly-anticipated matchup.
Watkins was so dominant that the only other player to score double-digits for USC was Kiki Iriafen with 13 points.
JuJu is a generational talent, and WNBA fans can’t wait for her to be in the league.
And if she continues to dominate and lead the team this way, all opposing teams will have to watch out for USC during March Madness.
