Sportico released their Top 100 Highest-Paid Athletes list for 2024, and while there aren’t any major surprises, one thing that did stick out is that no female athlete made the list for the second straight year.
The top five are soccer legend Cristiano Renaldo, 4x NBA champion Steph Curry, former heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, soccer legend Lionel Messi and one of the greatest players in NBA history, LeBron James.
The Top 10 consisted of five soccer players (Renaldo, Messi, Neymar, Karim Benzema and Kylian Mbappé), two NBA players (Curry and LeBron), 2 boxers (Fury and heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk) and 1 golfer (Jon Rahm).
The first NFLer on the list is Dak Prescott at 12th with $100.4 million.
The 100 athletes made roughly $6.2 billion combined, which is a year-over-year increase of 14% according to Sportico.
The highest-paid female athlete was Coco Gauff, who made $30.4 million in 2024.
