James Harden is on the move once again.
The Clippers have traded star guard James Harden to the Cleveland Cavaliers in exchange for Darius Garland and a second round pick, a move that instantly alters the Eastern Conference playoff picture.
The move gives the Cavs an elite playmaker who can dish and create his own shot when needed.
Pairing Harden with Donovan Mitchell creates an elite duo, one which finally takes the pressure off of Mitchell.
Although Harden is older, he’s still an elite player with loads of playoff experience and Cleveland is hoping that he can push them over the playoff hump that has haunted them.
As for the Clippers, the moves gets them younger and opens up the door to a brighter future as Garland is only 26 years old and they add additional draft compensation.
This is a move that seems to placate both teams.
The Clippers move off an unhappy asset in James Harden and in return receive a talented young guard.
And the Cavs land a veteran and proven All-Star who will allow the team to flow more smoothly, giving them a legit chance to be title contenders.
