Chargers Survive Eagles In OT Thriller

The two teams are headed in opposite directions.

In a chaotic overtime thriller, the Los Angeles Chargers knocked off the Philadelphia Eagles in overtime, 22-19.

The Chargers won the game on the very last play when safety Tony Jefferson intercepted a tipped pass in the red zone.

The Chargers defense looked impressive as they forced five turnovers, four of which were interceptions thrown by Eagles QB, Jalen Hurts. LA also stifled the Eagles to 3-14 on third down.

This was a major win for the Chargers as they moved to 9-4. They have now won five of their last six matchups and will face the Kansas City Chiefs next.

As for the Eagles, blame should be spread around, particularly on offense. Hurts had a terrible game, going 21-40 for 240 yards, 0 TDs and 4 INTs.

But to be fair, there were a few keys drops during the game that ultimately hurt Philly’s chances of winning.

Although the Eagles still sit at the top of the NFC North, they lack consistency on offense, some of which can be attributed to injuries to the offensive line.

If the Eagles want to repeat and have a season that resembles last year they will have to find their identity again, which means running the ball consistently again.

The loss is another setback for the Eagles and they are fighting for their playoff lives.

Looking ahead to their next game they will face off against the Raiders, a game in which they should be heavily favored to win.
