Blue Jays Defeat Mariners To Advance To World Series

Toronto returns to the WS for the first time in over 3 decades.

The Toronto Blue Jays shocked the world as they came back from an early 0-2 series hole to defeat the Mariners 4-3 in a thrilling Game 7 of the American League Championship to advance to the World Series.

This marks the first time in over three decades that the Toronto Blue Jays are returning to the World Series.

While there were many important moments for the Blue Jays, all eyes were on George Springer in the 7th inning of Game 7 as he stepped to the plate with Toronto trailing 3-1.

Springer proceeded to blast what would become the decisive 3-run homer that put the Blue Jays up 4-3.

Advancing to the World Series is a huge moment for Toronto as they proved their resilience by coming back from a two game series deficit to prevent the Mariners from advancing to their first World Series in franchise history.

It was an incredible accomplishment for the Blue Jays who have gone through years of rebuilding and redevelopment.

On Friday, Toronto will face off against the Los Angeles Dodgers, who are looking to make it back-to-back World Series championships.

The Series looks to be full of star power and power at the plate, and despite the Dodgers being favorites, the Blue Jays have proven they can overcome and win.
