49ers Shock Rams With OT Win On Thursday Night Football

Despite the injuries, the Niners are now 4-1.

The 49ers shocked everyone on Thursday night by squeezing by the Los Angeles Rams in overtime, 23-20, on Thursday Night Football.

This was a stunning win for the 49ers due to the number of players who are currently injured.

With so many key players out, fans and the media resoundingly picked the Rams to win the game, but to everyone’s surprise, the 49ers had other plans.

The 49ers were without starters Brock Purdy, George Kittle, Nick Bosa, Jauan Jennings, Brandon Aiyuk and Ricky Pearsall.

Yet the team still had Christian McCaffrey, who went off for 139 total yards and a TD. He was joined by Kendrick Bourne, who had a career day with 10 catches and 142 yards.

Leading the team was quarterback Mac Jones, who shredded the Rams for 342 passing yards, two TDs and 0 INTs.

The Rams were led by Matthew Stafford, who threw for 389 yards and 3 TDs, and Puka Nacua, who hauled in 10 receptions for 85 yards and 1 TD.

Kyren Williams added 132 total yards and 2 TDs, but also coughed up a costly fumble near the goal line that killed a key drive for the Rams.

The 49ers are now 4-1 and lead the NFC West while the Rams sit at 3-2 and look up at San Francisco.

The 49ers will face the Bucs next while the Rams play the Ravens.
